With summer only just upon us, it seems like fall semester is months away. However, the fall classes have been posted and it's never too early to start thinking about educational goals. This fall will be even more competitive, with fewer classes and more students, so be sure to sign up as soon as enrollment opens.

First, the good news: El Vaquero will be going forward with Brandon Hensley as editor-in-chief. Haven't taken 102? Be sure to sign up for Bernie Caughey's class and start El Vaquero in the spring. Terri Thuente will be back with photojournalism, the second semester it has been offered, but with a time change: 1:30-3:42 on Mondays and Wednesdays. And the most exciting news: Intro to Broadcast Journalism is back after an absence of almost four years. Jeff Smith will be teaching it on Wednesday nights, so it will be perfect for working students too. You won't want to miss this opportunity!

Now, the bad news: JOURN 107, Magazine Writing and JOURN 210, Advanced News Writing, will not be with us. Students wishing to contribute to The Insider, Glendale's student magazine, should contact Jane Pojawa, the Insider's editor-in-chief at jane_pojawa@gccinsider.com or Michael Moreau, the Insider's faculty advisor, mmoreau@glendale.edu for more information.
